Boehringer Ingelheim Extends PROACTIS to Ireland
Following the successful implementation of PROACTIS in the UK, leading pharmaceutical company, Boehringer Ingelheim extends Spend Control to Ireland.
In 2007, Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) implemented PROACTIS Purchase-to-Pay, including invoice scanning across its UK operations. Prior to PROACTIS, purchases would go unrecorded until the invoice arrived in the Accounts Payable department, making order management, financial planning and expenditure control extremely challenging.
Since the roll-out, PROACTIS has enabled BI to automate and streamline its Purchase-to-Pay cycle whilst supporting the company's existing policies and procedures. This has given BI improved financial planning, thanks to improved visibility of expenditure and commitments. They have also benefitted from a more efficient back office, with suppliers paid on time, improved accuracy of financial coding and reduced exposure to risk of fraudulent activity.
After seeing the return on investment made from the UK implementation, BI is extending its PROACTIS solution to its Irish operations; enabling more employees to adhere to the BI purchasing policy and providing greater spend visibility across the organisation.
