Southend Borough Council Extends Use of PROACTIS
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council extends its PROACTIS roll-out to all council departments.
After the successful implementation of PROACTIS Strategic Procurement within the Procurement department, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is to extend its use of the system to all departments within the Council.
The system which comprises of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), eSourcing and Contract Management is providing the Council with the tools they need to streamline operations and obtain best value through effective supplier adoption, evaluation, and communication. By rolling-out the system beyond Procurement to all council departments, Southend BC will truly be able to optimise the benefits that the PROACTIS system brings.
The SRM module has helped them to build and maintain a strong supplier base by structuring and streamlining the entire supplier lifecycle - from initial identification through adoption, approval, transaction, and analysis. PROACTIS eSourcing has reduced the administrative time and effort spent sourcing, evaluating and awarding contracts to suppliers, and they now have improved visibility and control of contracts and can ensure that all departments consistently utilise them when buying goods and services.
