PROACTIS Launches a New Consulting & Software Bundle for Supplier Engagement
PROACTIS, the spend control and eProcurement specialist, today announced a new consulting and software bundle, PROACTIS Supplier Engagement, designed to help executives to be more proactive in how they collaborate with suppliers to achieve best value and compliance against defined resources and priorities.
PROACTIS Supplier Engagement can be used to kick-start a spend control initiative and is designed to offer opportunities for both buyer and seller organisations.
The bundle includes some of the latest PROACTIS portal products, tools and techniques that allow organisations to develop and implement a meaningful supplier engagement strategy, or make existing supplier relationship programs more measurable and efficient. PROACTIS has also created a comprehensive service offering to accompany the deployment; supporting customers in analysing their existing processes and developing a spend control or supplier engagement initiative.
PROACTIS Supplier Engagement includes:
- Spend Analysis & Performance Review - an optional consulting exercise that establishes a baseline of what has been spent, where and by whom and identifies: key areas of spend which are by passing contract commitments, the major categories of spend by suppliers, plus electronic enablement options for catalogues, ordering and invoicing.
- Supplier Management - software that enables organisations to maintain a comprehensive supplier directory: electronically recruit, administer, profile and manage suppliers, remove repetitive and onerous file maintenance tasks and support supplier self-service.
- Catalogue Management - software that allows organisations to share responsibility with their suppliers for managing catalogue content by distributing the integration and cleansing work and minimise time to upload and refresh new content.
- Electronic Commerce - a range of electronic trading methods and techniques for automating the receipt of invoices securely from multiple suppliers including: purchase order flip, purchase card integration, self-billing and electronic invoicing.
- Integration - fully vendor-supported and maintained integration with ERP and financial systems.
Simon Dadswell, Director of Marketing of PROACTIS commented: "Most organisations tend to equate 'suppliers' to 'creditors', meaning that they create and maintain details in the finance system to pay invoices. Little effort is made to categorise suppliers according to value and/or risk of exposure, manage high-value/high-risk contracts, or exploit new techniques to trade electronically with suppliers. PROACTIS Supplier Engagement allows organisations to know exactly where to target scarce management resource to reduce risk and deliver efficiency gains. In addition, it enables them to engage appropriately with the right suppliers where they can deliver real value and put in place the best trading mechanism to suit both parties."
PROACTIS Supplier Engagement is suitable for mid-to-large sized organisations of any sector and includes a flexible software licensing and Cloud Computing delivery model.
